What we do

 Just some of the ways we offer help and assistance

  • Encourage attendance by providing a daily nutitious meal for every child
  • Award a yearly attendance prize to the pupil with the best attendance record
  • Provide a new uniform or shoes each year
  • Fund tutors to improve vocational skills such as sewing and music at the Girls' orphanage
  • Fund extra out-of-school tuition
  • Develop closer links between the school in Sri Lanka and those in the UK

  

  • Provide professional medical assistance by funding a doctor to attend the local clinic once per week
  • Provide funding for much needed drugs beyond the reach of most

  • Establish and support a fishermen's co-operative to provide sustainable employment and income for the villagers
  • Support local business start-ups to generate employment opportunities

  • Provide sports equipment
  • Host competitions and events to develop team building

  • On an individual basis, provide additional tuition and after-school care
  • Help fund drugs and treatment for those in need
  • Provide hardship grants for cases referred to us through the Medical Clinic
